Buying Guide – How to Choose the Best AI Electric Golf Caddy That Follows You

Selecting the right AI Electric Golf Caddy That Follows You requires understanding key technical features that affect performance on the course.

Follow Technology Type

The core of any follow caddy is its tracking system. Most use Remote Frequency (RF) or Ultra-Wideband (UWB). UWB offers higher precision and less interference which is vital for maintaining consistent distance on noisy fairways.

Look for models with UWB or dual signal tracking to ensure your caddy stays with you even in areas with magnetic interference or multiple players.

Battery Capacity and Life

Battery life determines how long you can play without recharging. Aim for at least 36 holes to cover a full round plus practice sessions. Higher capacity models support 45 holes which is better for multi-day trips.

Ensure the battery is removable and easy to charge so you can swap it out if you plan to play back to back rounds without downtime.

Remote Control Range

The remote control range dictates how far you can be from the cart while still maintaining command. Ranges vary from 100 feet to 500 feet which affects how freely you can move on large fairways.

Choose a model with at least 300 feet of range to prevent signal loss on wide courses where you might walk far from the caddy.

Terrain and Slope Capability

If you play on hilly courses check the motor power and slope rating. Dual motors and steep incline ratings up to 25 percent ensure the caddy can handle hills without manual pushing.

Stability features like anti-tip wheels are crucial on uneven ground to prevent tipping when turning or navigating rough patches.

Foldability and Storage

Portability matters if you transport your cart in a trunk or store it in a small garage. Look for compact fold designs that reduce size significantly for easy loading and transport.

Three-motion or one-touch fold systems save time and effort when packing up after a long day on the course.

Water Resistance and Durability

Rain and dew are common on golf courses so an IPX5 or higher waterproof rating protects the internal electronics from moisture damage during sudden showers.

Ensure the materials used for the frame and wheels are resistant to corrosion and wear to extend the lifespan of your investment.

Control Interfaces and Apps

Many modern caddies offer smartphone app controls alongside physical remotes. These apps allow you to customize speed and follow distance but may have connectivity delays.

Prefer models that offer a reliable physical remote as a backup in case the app connection is unstable or your phone battery runs low.

Accessories and Warranty

Some models include cup holders or phone mounts which add convenience to your round. Check if these are built in or separate items to save on extra costs.

A solid warranty of at least one year is essential for covering any motor or battery issues that might arise during normal use.

How to Use and Care for Your AI Electric Golf Caddy That Follows You

To use your AI Electric Golf Caddy That Follows You start by activating the auto follow mode via remote or app and ensure it is within the required distance for tracking. Walk at a normal pace and let the unit follow behind you.

Regularly clean the wheels and sensors with a dry cloth to prevent dirt buildup that might interfere with tracking. Store the battery in a cool dry place and recharge it after every use to maintain longevity.

If you encounter uneven terrain engage the anti-tip safety mode and reduce speed to prevent the caddy from tipping over. Always carry the manual for quick reference on troubleshooting common issues like signal loss.
